Kāinga Tahi Kāinga Rua Māori Research Symposium

  • Te Wharewaka o Pōneke, Matiu Room Odlins Square, 2 Taranaki St Wellington New Zealand (map)

Te Matapihi will be presenting at the  Māori Research Symposium for the Building Better Homes Towns and Cities National Science Challenge.

Earlier this year Te Matapihi  in association with Ngā Aho (the society of Māori design professionals) led a 3-week indigenous housing and design study tour through the USA and Canada.  Jade Kake and Rau Hoskins will discuss study tour highlights, key learnings and how these might be applied to design and research practices in Aotearoa, as well as current and future opportunities for collaboration with international colleagues and indigenous relatives.

Join the one day symposium convened by Acting Director Māori, Dr Jessica Hutchings to learn about the Māori focused research in the Challenge and to hear from recently funded researchers working in the Kāinga Tahi Kāinga Rua research theme.

See the Building Better website for further information or use the link below to register your interest in attending.  The agenda will be posted on line by the end of July.
