This not-for-profit organisation provides community services to a client base across Auckland. You will be charged with the development and management of the social housing and emergency housing service. As a knowledge expert in the housing sector you will work with your knowledge of the ‘Housing First’ model and your extensive experience of Residential Tenancies Act to support clients across Auckland.
Operationally, you will be charged with developing business cases for building a sustainable portfolio of housing opportunities for clients and strategically be positioned to gain new business opportunities in the housing sector to extend on existing services.
Ensuring service delivery is designed in accordance with relevant sector, you will establish processes to ensure activities are measured and initiatives implemented to support service improvement.
Leading service delivery management you will build leadership capacity and capability at service level by providing coaching, support and feedback to team members.
Skills and experience required for this position will include:
- Expert working knowledge and application of the Residential Tenancies Act. 1986
- Extensive knowledge of the NZ Housing sector
- Project management and resource co-ordination
- Skills in business case and report writing
- Experience with quality audits, service reviews and investigations
- Previous people management experience
- Experience in implementing principals of Treaty of Waitangi
- Knowledge of “Housing First” model and philosophy
You will have key influencing skills in order to develop effective and professional relationships with funding bodies and other key stakeholders to secure future business. Developing effective relationships with external groups and key stakeholders at a local, regional and national level, you will have the skills and prior experience to interact with a broad stakeholder group with ease.
As a member of the senior leadership team, you will actively participate as a key contributor to the organisation’s strategic planning, and provide timely and accurate reporting on service delivery to the Chief Executive, Board and to funding bodies as required.
A Tertiary qualification in a relevant field would be highly desirable, as is your knowledge of the Auckland housing sector marketplace.
