The Australasian Housing Institute will be delivering the Regulation & Regulatory Frameworks for Community Housing Seminar on Wednesday, 1 May 2019 in Wellington, New Zealand.

This Professional Practice Seminar is devoted to presentations on and active discussion about the role of registration and regulatory systems for community housing, including:

  • The current regulatory state-of-play of regulation and regulatory systems in New Zealand including planned interaction between the Community Housing Regulatory Authority team and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

  • International comparisons and analysis, including the policy and financial drivers that have led the development of the regulatory frameworks in other countries (notably the UK and more recently Australia).

  • An in-depth look at how regulatory frameworks work in Australia including from a government and from a community housing provider perspective.
