Further Submission to Plan Change 94B – Papakāinga – Whangarei District Council

Phase One of the Whangārei District Plan's Papakāinga policy became operative on 28 April 2011. Applications for Papakāinga currently require a resource consent as a discretionary activity. The existing provisions have not been formally utilised since they became operative. 94B represents Phase Two of Council’s Papakāinga policy.

Cross-party Homelessness Inquiry Submission

This inquiry was launched by Labour, Green and Māori Parties after National MPs turned down Opposition requests for a Parliamentary select committee inquiry into the issue.

Submissions were requested from members of the public, those who experience homelessness and agencies working with them, about the best ways to support them and reduce the reasons they lose their homes in the first place.

Auckland Unitary Plan Submission

Auckland Council received more than 9400 submissions on the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan (PAUP) during the five-month notification period which closed on 28 February 2014. In the further submission period, which closed on 22 July 2014, a further 3800 submissions were received either supporting or opposing original submissions.
