About the role:
This cross-cutting senior leadership role is responsible for bringing people together, contributing to and facilitating discussions across our organisation as we address complex issues and decisions. Reporting to a Deputy Chief Executive, you will be responsible for delivering on some of HUD's key programme priorities. In working in collaboration with the wider Senior Leadership team, and People Leaders, you'll ensure key deliverables are achieved.
HUD's Kaiaki roles represent a new and innovative approach to our structure. The successful candidates will be willing and able to constructively and thought-provokingly challenge the status quo. You will thrive on ambiguity and relish the chance to inspire and lead others through uncertainty. We are looking for leaders who are proven in senior management roles in the state sector, who also offer:
demonstrated experience leading successful cross sector projects or programmes at a senior level of influenceA truly collaborative style, whether it be with executive teams, operational teams or external stakeholders
relevant programme or policy area knowledge expertise in the machinery of government including policy processes, and the well-honed political acumen to go with it
The proven ability to motivate and inspire others to deliver without direct reporting relationships
a high level of comfort working with ambiguity, using creativity and innovation to solve problems
